The State Administration for Market Regulation has released the new version of **"End Fittings for Wire Ropes of Lifting Machinery" (GB/T 5973-2026)**, which will officially come into effect on August 1, 2026. The new standard unifies the types, parameters, testing, and inspection rules for rope end fittings, strengthens requirements for fatigue life, safety factors, and operational reliability, and covers core scenarios such as lifting, ports, and construction machinery. It will compel enterprises to improve the quality of fitting processing and assembly, promoting the overall safety level of complete machines.
